I know it’s hard to conceive, but Hillary is actually the most moderate Democrat running for president. Does that send chills up anyone else’s spine? Anyway, I just read a blog on Real Clear Politics about a YouTube interview done with John Edwards; the end of the interview had a very interesting question and answer section that you’ve got to read to believe.

The interviewer asked John Edwards a series of questions on whether the following were rights or privileges:

Question: A college education?

Edwards: Right.

Q: Health care?

E: Right.

Q: A livable wage?

E: Right.

Q: Owning a handgun?

E: Privilege.

Q: American citizenship for someone not born here but has worked here for one year?

E: Working for one year? That’s a hard one, because I think people have to earn citizenship. I think I would have a period be longer than one year.

Q: Five years maybe?

E: Five years for sure.

Q: Access to the Internet?

E: That should be a right.

Okay everyone, notice that the one thing that he emphatically said was a privilege is the one item on this list that is in the Bill of Rights: The right to bear arms. Stunningly insane.

We absolutely, positively cannot let this man win the presidency. As a whole, our country is already leaning towards socialism, and his presidency would push us into that abyss without a second thought. It’s a “right” to get a college education? A “right” to get health care? A “right” to make a living wage?

This guy is so far left, I don’t think it’s humanly possible to be any farther to the left than he already is. Forget socialism - this guy is bordering on communism. This is scary stuff.

Reading information like this makes me more certain than ever that we must nominate Mitt Romney as the Republican candidate, so he can debate against the far left loons like this, and show America that this is NOT a path we want to travel down, and that if we go there, America as we know it will never be the same again.

We need Mitt now more than ever.
